Obituary for Elaine Webb
ELAINE WEBB Fern “Elaine” (Mitchell) Webb, age 74, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born September 21, 1948 in Honey Grove, Texas, eldest daughter of the late Betty Pauline (Blanton) and Rayburn Ward Mitchell. She was united in marriage to her husband, Robert Paul Webb on October 28, 1964, in Sunray, Texas. Elaine retired from Smithson Quilting Factory in Stover, Missouri where she worked for 30 years. She then owned her own quilting business for several years. She enjoyed fishing and trapping with the love of her life, Paul. She loved her flower beds, tending her vegetable garden, canning, and making jelly. She was very proud of her family and spending time with them, especially her great grandson. She was an incredible caregiver to many, including her siblings, and provided unconditional love and support for her own family. She will be missed immensely by all that knew and loved her. In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by her two sons, Rayburn (Brenda) of Versailles, Missouri and Cletis (Amy) of Jefferson City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Justin (Rachel), Joshua, Jessica, Kaleb (Shelby), Brandon (Alex), and Paige (Zach); one great-grandson, Cooper; her brothers, Ray Mitchell, Jr., Kevin Mitchell and Jimmy (Donna) Mitchell, Amarillo, Texas; sisters, Dyphene (Rusty) Daniels, Port Aransas, Texas, Kathy Widowski, and Carla (Daniel) Williamson, Amarillo, Texas. She was preceded in death by siblings Jenny Ryan and Glenn Mitchell. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Versailles, Missouri. Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Stover Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
