Missouri Trappers Association Hall of Famer and Past President Passes
Stanley Berkbuegler, 80, of Perryville, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on January 27, 2022.
He was born September 6, 1941 in Perryville, MO to Howard D. Berkbuegler and Betty Jean Lix.
He and Anna DuVall were married July 24, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He served in the United States Army in June, 1959.
He was a member of United Methodist Church in Perryville.
He was President of the Missouri Trappers Association. Member of VFW, AmVets, Legion, Eagles, National Trappers Association, Missouri Composting Council, Elks and Chamber of Commerce.
Stan was an avid trapper, fisherman and hunter. He was inducted into the Missouri Trappers Hall of Fame in 2015. He was the owner of BFC Composting Company, which he enjoyed running with the help of his trusted staff members Matt Plunkett, Brian Hastey and Mike Tucker.
Survivors include son, Keith (Janice) Berkbuegler of Swansea, IL; three daughters, Audrey (David) Lorch of Jackson, MO, Michelle (Stephen) DelVecchio of Belleville, IL, Stacy (Bruce) Gauch of Smithon, IL; brother, Lynn Berkbuegler of Perryville, MO; sister, Judith Lilly of Perryville, MO; fourteen grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and Mother-in-law, Elizabeth Black.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel "Boone" Berkbuegler and sister Carol Ann Newell.
Visitation will be at 8:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at United Methodist Church, Perryville.
Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am Saturday, February 5, 2022 at United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kevin Barron officiating.
Military Honors provided by VFW & Delta Team will commence after in the Church parking lot.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to United Methodist Church and Catie's Fight Club (Funds to support his granddaughter's fight against breast cancer).
