A beginner's trapping clinic, for adults and youth, will be held on Saturday, October 8th and Sunday, October 9th at the Whetstone Creek Conservation Area near Williamsburg. The clinic will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday and will end around 12:00pm on Sunday.
Participants will be setting traps on Saturday afternoon and checking traps on Sunday morning. Participants will then be shown how to skin and prepare hides for market or for tanning. Everyone will be able to practiceskinning and how to preserve the hides for later use. All traps will be provided by the instructors. An evening meal will be provided on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
