The 2018 Missouri Trappers Training Academy 5th Annual Fundraising Banquet that was held at the Litton Ag Center, in Chillicothe was a success. It was a night filled with fun and a gathering of old friends and some new ones. Charles and Pam Samuels along with District 8 did a fine job with putting this event together.
In the raffle for the American Tactical Omni Hybrid MAXX AR15, Jacky Adkins was the proud, lucky winner. Donnie Payne was the winner of one of the card raffles to where he was a winner of a Fever brand cross bow. Then in the other card raffle, Tod and Theresa Sparks were the winners of a beautiful Henry Golden Boy with an octagon barrel in .22LR.
There were many items that were presented in the silent auction as well as many cool prizes in the door raffles. A big thank you goes out to Kevin Whitworth for his services as auctioneer where many cool and interesting items were auctioned off.
The furbearer biologist with the Missouri Department of Conservation, Laura Conlee presented a presentation on their study of the rare furbearers of Missouri such as the badger, spotted skunks, least weasels and the long tailed weasels. It is asked of the Department to report sightings of such furbearers.
The event went very well and everyone has a good time. A thank you goes out to Ann Scarlet and Pam Samuels for their part in taking care of admissions and clerking the auction. Again, another thank you to Charles Samuels and District 8 for a job well done. I will post the time and place of the next banquet when the information comes available.
